Arumvale Country House is situated in Swellendam's beautiful Hermitage Valley, a short twenty-five minute walk or three kilometre drive from Swellendam's historic town centre. Arumvale Country House has commanding views of the Langeberg Mountains and surrounding farmlands.

Arumvale Country House has three luxury, self-catering suites, one standard suite and a rustic garden cottage located within a beautiful garden & countryside setting. Each suite has a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a tastefully themed lounge, kitchenette, private patio and separate entrance.

Guests can relax in summer on the verandah overlooking the swimming pool while enjoying magnificent views up the Hermitage Valley or gather round the cosy open fireplace in each of the suites. Free wireless internet is available throughout Arumvale and secure on-site parking is provided for guests' vehicles.

  • “My husband and I stayed at Arumvale a few weeks ago, without knowing we had stayed there a few years ago. Lovely to know we still have great taste in picking and booking online accommodation :) George is absolutely amazing! We left CPT late Friday afternoon and only got to Swellendam at about 9pm, it was absolutely no problem for him to wait and open up for us.
    The room we booked were even nicer in real life than what the photos showed, and the pics were absolutely GORGEOUS!
    So lovely that the electric blankets were turned on, ready to warm up the bed on a freezing night!
    The staff super friendly and nice and it was lovely being greeted with a friendly "moooorning" ever time one of them walked passed us having our morning coffee on our balcony taking in the breathtaking views!
